What is the FSZ?
A central facility of the Leibniz Universität Hannover, the Centre for Applied Linguistics and Special Languages (FSZ) was founded in 1989.
Currently, around 220 language courses and special courses are offered for approximately 5,000 students each semester, as well as during semester breaks. Moreover, the FSZ is one of the largest test centres in Germany for the DSH exam ("Deutsche Sprachprüfung für den Hochschulzugang"). Learning at the FSZ is characterised by innovative learning scenarios, based on modern perception of foreign language teaching, as well as second language and specialist language acquisition.
We are a research-based service facility that constantly evaluates and improves the courses we offer, taking new developments into account. Furthermore, through our continued communication with colleagues around the world, we are able to guarantee the high quality of the courses on offer. We look forward to you making use of our services and welcome any suggestions or wishes that would further improve our services.
