Our Support Fundamentals
InterWRITE provides no-cost writing support to students at all degree levels and from all faculties/departments of Leibniz University Hannover. We work with students who are writing academically in English or German as a foreign/second language. Any currently enrolled student can take advantage of our services, regardless of experience.
The foundation of writing sessions is interaction. Consultants will engage you in active dialogue about your writing process, and will ask questions designed to help you think critically about your own writing. As you ultimately remain responsible for your own texts, this interactive process is aimed at helping you develop tools and knowledge you can utilize on your own during various stages of the writing process.
We are committed to improving our services and as a result, we periodically ask students for feedback. The feedback is anonymous and we ask that the information is truthful. Additionally, consultants keep their own notes on writing sessions for the purpose of review and reflection. This information is never shared outside of InterWRITE.
In order to help writers best meet their needs, we may sometimes offer referrals to other departments, services, or individuals (e.g., to a librarian for research support).
The InterWRITE team respects the confidentiality of each writing session: information about the writer, or the writer’s text, will not be shared outside of InterWRITE. In some situations, we may utilize data gathered internally in research projects or other applications. In this case, we will first contact writers individually to ask their permission.<s></s>
