Directions

By car

If you arrive by car, there are several parking possibilities near the Leibnizhaus. The closest parking lot is Schloßstraße 6 Parking and the closest parking garage is the Parkhaus am Rathaus. Both require a fee. From there it is only a short walk to the Leibnizhaus.

By long-distance bus

If you are traveling by bus, you will arrive at the bus station near the main railway station (Hannover Central Station) in downtown Hannover. From there, it takes about 17 minutes to walk to the Leibnizhaus.

Alternatively, the subway stop Hauptbahnhof/ZOB is located in the immediate vicinity of the bus station. You can take the green line (number 10 in the direction of Ahlem) to Goetheplatz. It is a 6-minute walk from there to the Leibnizhaus. We recommend you buy the one-way ticket for short-distance trips (Kurzstreckenticket), as it is cheaper (€1.60). A day pass for zone 1 (€5.60) is recommended for several trips within the city.

By train

If you arrive by train, you will arrive on one of the 14 tracks of Hannover Central Station. From there you can walk to the Leibnizhaus in approx. 13 minutes.

Alternatively, the subway station Hauptbahnhof is located on the lower level of the railway station (2 levels below track 14). From here you can get on lines 3 and 7 (Wettbergen) and 9 (Empelde) and travel two stops (Kröpcke - Markthalle/Landtag) to Markthalle/Landtag. From there it is a 4-minute walk to the Leibnizhaus. For a one-way trip, a short-distance ticket (€1.60) is recommended. A day pass for zone 1 (€5.60) is recommended for several trips within the city.

By plane

From the Hannover Airport (HAJ), the city train S-Bahn 5 goes to Hannover Central Station every 30 minutes. From there, the Leibnizhaus can be reached on foot or by subway. For a one-way trip to the Leibnizhaus, a one-way ticket (Einzelticket) for 2 zones (€3.60) is recommended. A day pass (Tagesticket) for 2 zones (€7.20) is recommended for several trips from the airport to the city center and within the city center.
